Article Marketing on Speed: Part II

OK Folks, here is the long awaited post about article spinning.  My prayer is that you find the information useful, and apply it to your marketing efforts.  Be sure to let me know your thoughts below.   Trust me, once you get the hang of it you can quickly spin your own articles!

What is Article Spinning

Article spinning is the act of turning one article into several different variations by providing alternative words, phrases, sentences, or paragraphs. An article spinner will take these alternatives and randomly create hundreds of unique articles based on the input. This is known also known as article rewriting or content rewriting.

Why is Article Spinning Important

If you simply submit 500 copies of the same article to 500 article directories Google will likely only index 3-5 of the articles, wasting the 497 other submissions. However, the articles are much more likely to get indexed by submitting a unique version to each of the 500 directories.  These new unique articles stand a much better chance of being indexed by Google and avoiding Google's duplicate content filter.

How do You Spin an Article

Understanding the Delimiters

Bear with me for a moment because this is going to feel like you're programming in some weird language for a second here. Trust me, it’s not that difficult.  Besides, once you learn this skill, your business will grow by leaps and bounds through the incoming traffic from your article marketing efforts.

So, let's give you a quick definition.

A delimiter is a sequence of one or more characters used to specify the boundary between separate, independent regions in plain text or other data. In this case, it will be just one character on your keyboard used to separate different text in order to create multiple variations of the content you'll be submitting to the sites.

Here is an example of what a sentence looks like with delimiters:

{Jane hit the cat. ~ Jane kicked the cat. ~ Rose will eat a cat for lunch.}

You can use two sets of delimiters to indicate alternate content that must be rewritten (or spun) when the system creates the final version of the article. We'll explain the difference between Level One and Level Two delimiters in a moment. But first, here are the characters that you'll be using:

Single Level Delimiters

Open delimiter: {

Close delimiter: }

Options separator: ~ (the tilde character)

Level Two Delimiters

Open delimiter: [

Close delimiter: ]

Options separator: | (the pipe character)

Single Level Spinning

The single level spin is the simplest and easiest form of spun content. It occurs when you have a simple block of text and you want to alternate between different versions of that same block of text.

Example #1

If you wanted to create different versions of the following sentence:

The fly is on the wall.

You could replace the word “wall” with other nouns like light, or table. Thus your spun sentences would be:

            The fly is on the light.                         and                  The fly is on the table.

To achieve these variations of the sentence, you must use an article spinner along with the delimiters above.  You open your command with the open single level delimiter ({) and close it with closed delimiter (}); while using the tilde (~) as a separator. So the sentence that you would add to you spinner would be:

            {The fly is on the wall.~ The fly is on the light.~ The fly is on the table}

You could also do it like this (which is much easier):

            The fly is on the {wall~light~table}.

Basic Rules for Simple Content Spinning

•   You can have an unlimited number of open delimiters ({) and closed delimiters (}) in your original content, as long as they match.  If you do not have one open and one closed delimiter, then you will get an error message, or your content will be clumped together.  Also note that more delimiters mean more variations, which means more articles!

• You can also have as many options within the delimiters as you want, as long as they are separated by the tilde (~). 
• You can spin as many characters at a time as you want. This can be from a single character to   an entire paragraph.  It’s entirely up to you.
• You may include HTML, JavaScript, and virtually any other character-based content you desire.
• Options within one group can be of varying lengths.

For instance:

            {Please note: ~Caution:~Before hiring someone to outsource your task, be sure to conduct an interview.}

Your variations of the above example would be:

• Caution:

More Examples of Single Level Spin:

Example #2:

            {Johnny is in love with Martha.~ Mary really loves Joshua.}

Here you have two alternate sentences,

• Johnny is in love with Martha.   and
• Mary really loves Joshua.

The spinner will dynamically select one of the two options, and put the selected option into the distributed article.

Example #3:

The {beautiful~ immaculate} {building ~ mansion ~ structure} {distinguished ~, differentiated~ separated} the {~poor ~ wealthy ~ middle income} part of the {city~  neighbor~ block} from the rest.

Several variations can be created form the sentence above. Here are a few of them:

• The immaculate structure differentiated the middle income part of the city from the rest.
• The beautiful mansion separated the poor part of the neighborhood from the rest.
• The beautiful building separated the wealthy part of the block from the rest.

… and so on.

Example #4:

{Emily's has been worried about crime in the neighborhood~Mary was worried about the safety of her family},but her {big~ferocious} {brown~black~white} {dog~cat} has been keeping the {burglars~criminals~crooks~people with criminal intentions} {at bay~away}.

This example is slightly more complex. As you see, there is an alternate sentence introduction and then synonyms are being replaced in the remainder of the sentence. Here are a few of the results from the above example:

• Emily's been worried about crime in the neighborhood, but her big white cat has been keeping the crooks away.
• Mary was worried about the safety of her family, but her black dog has been keeping the burglars at bay.

Example #5:

{<p>Jeff wanted to protect her home and decided to look into the cost of burglar alarms. She found them to be reasonably priced and ordered one from XYZ Security.</p>~<p>John has always been very security conscious and when he looked at security companies, he looked at them all.</p><p>In the end he settled on XYZ Security.</p>}

As you can begin to see, by mixing HTML code with the Single Spin feature, you can create totally different looking versions of your content. For instance, in the example above, your content will consist of either one single paragraph or two paragraphs.

<p>Jeff wanted to protect her home and decided to look into the cost of burglar alarms. Two Level Content Spinning or Complex Content Spinning

As mentioned previously, Simple Spun Content or Single Level Content Spinning will suffice for almost everything you do. However, once you're comfortable with the concept of simple content spinning, you may choose to move on to the Complex Content Spinning, because it's where some real awesome power is revealed.

So, what exactly is Complex Content Spinning? It is where you have a block of text that has several alternate versions of the text (simple spinning)… and inside each of those alternate versions you have another set of alternate versions.

The delimiters used in Complex Content Spinning are the open delimiter ([), the closed delimiter (]), and the (|).

Here is an example of a sentence that contains complex spinning:

{Jack’s [graduation | wedding | birthday] is [tomorrow| Wednesday| on May 25^th]. ~Mary loves to [attend| be present at | go to] [weddings| social gatherings | parties].}

Basic Rules for Complex Content Spinning

The same rules that apply to simple content spinning also apply to complex content spinning.  However, a few additional rules are worth mentioning at this point. 

• You can have as many [. ... .] option groups within a {…. .} option group as you like.
• You can also have as many options (divided with |) inside a [. ... .] option group as you desire.
• A [. ... .] option can consist of as many characters as you want (from a single character or word to an entire block of content).
• A [. ... .] group cannot span across multiple {. … .} options. In other words, you cannot have a ~ option divider inside of the [. ... .] delimiters.

Here are a few examples:

Example #1 (from above):

{Jack’s [graduation | wedding | birthday] is [tomorrow| Wednesday| on May 25^th]. ~Mary loves to [attend| be present at | go to] [weddings| social gatherings | parties].}

When you paste this example into an article spinner, it’s first going to randomly pick between the two sentences that are delimited with { and } and separated by ~. For instance, it’s going to choose between the Jack sentence or the Mary… sentence.  Once it chooses between the two sentences, then it will look for options within the [ and ] delimiters and arbitrarily pick from those options.

When it’s all said and done, the distributed article may contain a variation of the following sentences:

            Jack’s birthday is tomorrow.

            Mary loves to go to parties.

            Jack’s wedding is on May 25^th.

            etc….

The next distributed article might contain a variation of the Mary…. sentence. The next yet another.

If you take the time to incorporate Complex Spinning into your article, you can rest assured that every copy of your article will be totally unique.  Use this technique on every sentence within your article and the number of variations of that one article is endless.

Example #2:

Another way to use this is to have complete paragraphs as options within the { and } delimiters and then have alternate sentences within those paragraphs as options with the [ and ]. delimiters. Let's explore that idea for a moment below:

            {<p>[John took his dog for a walk that day.|On that fateful day Peter was walking his dog in the park.] [The thief approached from behind a tree.|He never saw the thief coming.|The thief made a very stealthy approach.]</p>~<p>[Susan jogs in the park   everyday at 8:00 pm. | Everyday, Susan jogs in the park at around the same time.] [It is not safe for her to jog alone at the time|Someone may be watching her daily with ill intent. It would be better if she jogged with a partner]</p>}

See the potential here!  It may take time, yet how much time does it take to create several articles with entirely different subject matters?  The time that you spend totally depends on the level of uniqueness that you want for each distributed copy of the article.

So there you have it!  This is the manual way to spin an article.
