Well folks, my quest for finding an effective mentors worked (and was as simple as a few phone calls)!
I spoke to Tom King last week, and he is super cool! We spoke for about 30 minutes about his upcoming project where individuals will be able to receive Internet Marketing Trained Professional certificates through Houston Community College's School of Continuing Education. The program will be sensational, because Tom King is a very knowledgeable and upstanding guy! Tom is such an educator, that he started teaching me about SEO during our conversation! Here's what I learned:
1) Do a keyword search for your blog titles because this will help them to rank better within search engines.
2) The 1st sentence of your post should include your keywords.
3) Google likes hyperlinks as well as updated and relevant material.
Isn't that good stuff!
I also called Jack Mize (who has a phenomenal personality also), and spoke to him about my new project. He recommended that I speak to his buddy and business partner (in the Offline-X Factor), Eric Louviere (who's also partnered with Mike Filsaime on 3 different projects). We spoke for at least 30-45 minutes on the phone on Saturday, and it I'm extremely excited!
Why am I excited?
Well I believe that one-on-one coaching will really take me to the next level! I love Alex's program, and will forever be a huge fan. At the same time, most of us are at different levels regarding our IM experience. Plus, on our first coaching call with Alex, he mentioned the power of levering our contacts like he does with Mike Filsaime, Rich Schefren, and others. Take that information, and imagine building a relationship with one of these top guys, where you sit in their home, and can look at their laptop and discuss YOUR projects. Go on to imagine having their personal phone numbers and email addresses! This is relationship building at its best!
Long story short, I asked Eric to coach me and he agreed to do it over the next six (6) months initially. What does this mean? Eric will help me with every aspect of my project, and promote it to his super huge list!
Now, how freakin' cool is that?

That is freakin' cool. Congratulations on reaching out and finding a hands-on mentor to help you grow your business.
I look forward to reading about your experiences with your mentors here on your blog.
Good luck!

How fortunate you are. I have searched high and low in my region. I live in a small country village. However, in August, the World Internet Summit is returning for a 3 day stint on the Gold Coast, about an hour or so from me. I went there last year and met a host of international internet marketers. I recommend everyone attend one of their seminars. They travel the world and have helped loads of people. I'll be posting details of their schedule soon on my blog.
But gee, it would be nice to have a personal mentor. Alex is fantastic but the course is going at a frenetic pace. It can be hard for some of us to keep up. All the best to you and keep up the good work. Your blog is coming along really nicely. Congratulations LaTonya.
Hi LaTonya,
wow…you are already taking it to the next level and i am truly fascinated about the way you went about seeking out another mentor.
I am interested in hearing about your experiences with your new mentor and finding out how you compare the experiences with AJ and your new mentor.
So congratulations on successfully making the next step and for sharing it.
I wish you well and I will be looking out for your "adventures" on the next level.
Best wishes and well done Latonya!
Thanks I really needed this.
I would like to begin by stating, thank you for supplying me with the information I’ve been looking for. I have been searching the net for two hours looking for it and wish I would have located your website sooner. Not only did I find what I was looking for, but found answers to questions I never thought to ask. Thank you for such a wonderful web-site!
Hi Peter. Thanks for visiting my site. I apologize for the delay, yet I’m up to my eyeballs in work! I learned a great deal from Alex Jeffrey’s coaching program, and I’m excited because my new mentor will help me to implement those strategies (plus a lot more).
We’ve met twice and I’m already learning a lot. For instance, he is teaching how to set up my auotresponder so that new subscribers will receive about a years worth of emails automatically.
I will also be recording my first live interview, which he’ll help me to promote by sending it out to his list as well. Our main focus right now is on branding me within the industry.
I’ll keep you posted dear friend:-)
God bless.
Thanks Peter! You are the man. I’m anxiously awaiting your upcoming interviews;-)
Did you set up another blog, or will you post them on your existing blog?
Will you have an OTO?
Did you ask the experts to add yor interview link at the end of their email campaigns? Doesn’t hurt to ask…I don’t think:-/ I did, and got a good response!
Superb blog post, I have book marked this internet site so ideally I’ll see much more on this subject in the foreseeable future!
