My 2nd Coaching Session with Alex Jeffreys

Module #2 of the Marketing with Alex coaching program, focused on teaching us the real business behind internet marketing.  Alex spoke in detail about three different systems within websites, and how they all tie in together.  Those systems are: the automation, the infrastructure, and the process (AIP).  Alex has stated that each module will build upon the previous.  Thus in Module #1, we learned about time management techniques and planning.  Module #2 reveals the big picture of internet marketing, and every module hereafter will build upon these concepts.  His goal is to transform his students from prospects, into profitable internet marketers.

So let’s get into the meat of Module 2…

I’m always very impressed with Alex’s honestly.  He never acts like he was born with all of the answers, and didn’t have to work at success.  His focus has shifted a few times in his career from:

  • Product Creation
  • List Building
  • Building a Relationship with His List
  • Marketing Other Products via E-mail Marketing
  • Coaching and Helping Make His Students Successful, to
  • Back-End Selling

There are three (3) components of a Product Launch.  They are the Pre-Launch, the Launch, and the Post Launch. The basic outline of Alex’s internet marketing business model for has been:

  • Pre-Launch
  • He created a free product
  • Then created a paid product
  • Purchased a software script
  • Outsourced the building of the site, graphics, affiliate program & marketing tools
  • Found JV partners to promote the launch
  • Launch
  • Kotobot (keeping on top of being on top) of people to promote launch
  • He gave away 75% of the commissions
  • With the 25% left, he paid for the outsourcing of the prelaunch
  • Alex made no money, yet he built a list of 5,000 subscribers
  • Post Launch
  • Alex sent e-mails weekly to list, and made $78K over the next 6 months
  • Then did nothing until three(3) years later
  • At which time he repeated the system above, and got the same results

The lesson here is for us that we can follow his system to build a list.  He noted that these systems are automated, yet he still makes money by manually emailing affiliate promotions to his subscriber list.  So that part of his system was not fully automated.  Now Alex is teaching us how to automate before we run an automated system.  Isn’t this awesome!

So for the past few years, he’s been studying Back End Marketing. Note: the back end is where sales are made after the initial point of contact with a customer (opt-in or low-ticket sale).  The back end includes the One-Time-Offer, Upsells/Downsells, Continuity/Membership/Recurring, E-mail Marketing (after they opt-in).  Alex said that 70-90% of the profits can be made on the back end, but most people ignore it!

His previous back end system was:

  • Purchasers get the free product, then
  • The Paid product, then
  • Went into the funnel for emailing affiliate promotions

Here are a few points that Alex made:

  • You don’t need a huge list (he was able to quit his job with a list of 2,000 subscribers)
  • You don’t have to wait forever to profit.  It can happen on day 1 of phase 1 using his system
  • From there you just expand and grow!
  • If the 1st sell is the hardest, then skip it, and give them something for free.

Now free offers give you an advantage because:

  1. It gets target market into funnel.
  2. You will be a giver, not taker.
  3. You won’t be seen as pushy by marketing free stuff aggressively.
  4. You get a chance to educate people on what you have to sell.
  5. You get an opportunity to dip your toe in; before plunging into pool.

So here are diagrams that summarize automated infrastructure po

As mentioned in the beginning, each training module will build upon the next.  So here’s what you have to look forward to from here on out:

  • Module #3 will show you how Alex taught us to use the Automated Infrastructure Process with the system that we built for us.
  • In Module #4 he talks about Social Media Money
  • Module #5 is Traffic Week.  This is where we discuss traffic generation for an entire week; awesome content!
  • Module #6 we get the List Building Machine
  • Module #7 is on Funnel Focus
  • In Module #8 you’ll get JV & Affiliate Training
  • Module #9 is on Membership Riches

I’ll also be giving you some super exclusive content that is only available to Alex’s students.

The Out Come………We’ve gone from prospects to Internet Marketers!

Nice job clearly presenting the information about Module 2 in Alex's coaching program.
He makes his system(s) seem so simple.  But like he says "it's simple but it's not easy", at least not yet, right?
Keep up the good work.  I look forward to checking back in.

    Hi Alice-

I like your overviews too! I’m getting a bit behind on posting the latest training editions because there is so much to do! What the old saying about eating an elephant…one piece at a time.

    Hi Latonya,
Thanks for this very detailed description.
The hardest step for me is to get people to the created website. Ranking high in google search results is close to impossible for a new website. I guess that this "JV finding" part is another solution to this problem, but how to find them if you are just a beginner?
    Take care!
